INTRO

Process printing, also known as four-color printing or CMYK printing, is a widely used technique in the printing industry to reproduce full-color images and graphics.

02

HOW IT WORKS

It involves the combination of four primary ink colors—cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK)—to create a broad spectrum of hues and shades.

The process begins by separating the original image into four separate color channels, each representing one of the primary ink colors.

03

OUTCOME

These color separations are then transferred onto printing plates, which are used to transfer the inks onto the printing surface in a precise and coordinated manner. As the colors blend and overlap during printing, the human eye perceives a wide range of colors and tones, resulting in a vibrant and detailed final output.

04

WHERE TO USE

Process printing is commonly used in various print mediums, including magazines, brochures, packaging, and promotional materials, enabling the production of visually appealing and high-quality printed materials.
